That Frantic Feeling

The last couple of weeks have been a blur for me, with sewing machine troubles (see previous post) deadlines for wholesale orders, trying to keep on top of social media & cobbling together a last minute halloween walk for my daughter.

Now I'm turning my attention to more making, updating stall displays, merchandising, price tags & general events organisation. I am also working on a treat for my instagram followers for the first week of December - keep your eyes peeled for that one!

Spotted at Dalston Community Gardens Pumpkin Festival on our recent London mini break - it was amazing, the whole garden was filled to bursting with hand carved pumpkins, this HP tribute was my fave.

So, normally on a Friday I'd be finishing work off, getting ready to enjoy a family weekend. Whilst that is the case I'm also very aware that this is my last "free" weekend before the onslaught of events as I'm trading every week from Tuesday up until the week before Christmas, so I'm really feeling that frantic crunch time is here. I like deadlines, I think it helps me push myself, but I'm attempting to cram a lot of fun stuff in this weekend, like eating pancakes with friends & going to our local fireworks display. Around that I'll be cramming in more work, because you know there'll be time to sleep in January right?

Hand painting a new logo sign for upcoming events. That's how rock n roll my Sundays are right now!

I am so grateful for how much Ruby Cubes has grown this year, the fact that I need to catch up on things in the wee small hours, makes me believe that I'm moving in the right direction. I'm off to drink more coffee and jump on the sewing machine, so here's wishing you a great weekend, whatever your plans might be,
